Frequently Asked Questions
Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?▼
No. The file is read and split entirely inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted to any server, which makes this safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records, and other sensitive documents.
How do I extract multiple page ranges at once?▼
Use commas to combine pages and ranges, for example 1-3,5,8-10. That extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 into a single new PDF, in that order.
Can I split every page into its own PDF?▼
Yes. Choose "Split every page" mode and each page becomes a separate PDF. You can download pages individually or use the Download All button.
Does splitting work with scanned PDFs?▼
Yes. Scanned pages are copied exactly as they are — the tool does not re-compress or alter them, so scan quality is fully preserved.
Why can I not split a password-protected PDF?▼
Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without their password. Open the PDF with its password in any viewer, save an unlocked copy (or print to PDF), and split that copy instead.
